Stephen Kohlbeck, ASID
Stephen learned the “tools of the trade” at the Art Institute of Colorado, earning a degree in Interior Design. Starting his career in Los Angeles – working on custom homes and retail boutiques from Beverly Hills to Pasadena – fueled the creative fires and built a foundation based on a high level of service and catering to far-ranging personal styles. From kitchen renovations to a Moroccan-themed wedding party, setting the stage was just another day at the office.
Returning to beautiful Colorado, he has focused much of his time designing everything inside of homes, including architectural details, kitchens and bathrooms, full furnishing packages; anything and everything one can see. He’s designed countless furniture pieces, for both manufacturers and clients.
Specializing in senior living design for five years also brought a sensitivity to “aging in place” considerations that benefit everyone. Being an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers ensures being educated on the latest technologies and material options for our projects.
He donates his time, contributing to the betterment of organizations and the public at large, both on the creative and administrative levels.

“We worked with Stephen on three projects: 1. Redecorated a 1970s ranch style house to make it comfortable until we could do a full remodel. 2. Redecorated and updated the finishes in a large condo in Steamboat Springs. We had an excellent return on this investment which I attribute to the wonderful ambiance created by Stephen. 3. Tear down to the foundation and rebuild of a larger home. Stephen was responsible for all colors, materials, design, decorating, custom furniture, etc. inside and out, on the entire project, which lasted over a year.
